Faith and Betrayal

I enjoy reading biographies and books on genealogy. Lured by a cover photo that promised much on family history writing, I bought Faith and Betrayal. Its story is an outstanding example of family history. This book is also an excellent source of Mormon history, revealing details unknown to me, such as “blood atonement.” Denton’s book helped me to learn more about the beginnings of the Mormon church as well as social and economic conditions in England, the South and West of the United States, migrants, Mormons, Native Americans, Africans …. It’s an interesting book I recommend to whoever enjoys reading about genealogy, biography, religion and history of the United States.
