Rubin Museum of Art
Last Saturday I went with a friend to the Rubin Museum of Art, which opened not long ago, last October. The museum is dedicated to art from the Himalayas, which, naturally, includes Buddhist themes. We were pleasantlly surprised not just by its collection but by its cozy atmosphere of serenity.
While we were visiting, we listened to beautiful Tibetan music live, bought books, and passed by the cafeteria. Around that area, we were surprised to find a beautiful statue of Ganesh, where people actually left coins.
I enjoyed the visit and will surely be back. Entry is $7.00 for non-members.
